Esther Perel Global Media

Co-Founder & COO (2014 - 2019)

In 2014, Lindsay began collaborating with Esther Perel, whose viral TED talk released the year prior established her as one of the world’s leading relationship experts. Their goal was to scale Esther’s cultural impact, and create a financially sustainable business.

Together, they co-founded Esther Perel Global Media, an ambitious project that would go on to translate Esther’s 30 years of experience as a clinician, speaker, and author into products and services designed to help people develop thriving personal relationships, at scale.

In the early phase of the business, Lindsay’s role was multifaceted and cross-functional, encompassing high level strategy, contract negotiation, accounting, project management, publicity, team building, and hiring. One of her first projects was pitching, developing, and launching Rekindling Desire, a digital course that unpacks Esther's core relationship philosophy in compelling, digestible formats.

As the business grew, Lindsay identified campaigns and events that would drive consistency and clarity for Esther’s brand. She managed a coordinated effort between internal and external teams to launch Esther’s New York Times best-selling book, THE STATE OF AFFAIRS (HarperCollins), and provided on-site support during Esther’s 3-month book tour.

Lindsay worked closely with Esther to direct and produce the highly acclaimed podcast franchise, WHERE SHOULD WE BEGIN? (Audible/Gimlet) and provided editorial direction for keynotes such as SXSW and Summit Series. Leveraging Esther’s skills as a coveted and compelling public speaker, Lindsay also played a crucial role in growing her speaking business across industries and global markets.

Over the course of their partnership, Lindsay and Esther built a globally recognized media company that spans multiple properties and platforms, and its owned and operated channels now reach an audience of millions.

“We’ve launched a book, a podcast, and workshops in less than three years, and it’s because I teamed up with the perfect business partner, Lindsay Ratowsky. I’m very happy to tell people that I couldn’t have done anything without her. She co-founded the brand.”

Generation Women

Advisor (2017 - Present)

Generation Women facilitates intergenerational conversation and community. Their monthly multi-generational female storytelling night in New York City showcases the wit and wisdom of women of all ages — especially those over 50. Since launching June 2017, the show continues to sell out the iconic Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater.

Lindsay has worked closely with the team since the beginning to position the brand and develop growth strategy.

“It was tough not to ponder and appreciate how even though the women on stage come from different walks of life, hearing them unravel in front of a live audience reminds us how tenderness and vulnerability are what truly bind us together.”

— Time Out New York
